Reelect Sarah Schaefer for Arcata City Council 2024
I am honored to serve my community that I was born and raised in and I want to continue the work I am doing for the next generation of Arcata. I want to continue to serve Arcata and work to bring more varied and affordable housing options, economic development opportunities, and sustainable transportation to the Arcata Community.
Who I am
I have called this beautiful town my home for most of my 32 years and I am looking forward to continue giving back to the community that raised me. I have had the privilege to serve on the City Council for 4 years and want to continue making a positive impact for our community. I have always had a deep sense of purpose related to public service and a strong connection to my community here in Arcata.
Transforming our Community
Arcata is a special place full of artists, entrepreneurs, business owners, and innovators. We are home to so many special events from the Oyster Festival to our famed Saturday Farmer’s Market. People are always out in the community, connecting, collaborating and helping grow our flourishing business community. As a council member I have developed great relationships with our local Chamber of Commerce and local business owners to better understand how to serve our local businesses and keep our focus local.
